Leonardo is not a myth today, is the Myth. Leonardo is not an artist, is the Artist, the Genius, is the Renaissance, the symbol of Italy in the world. His figure does not cease to intrigue and even arouse deep questions today.
Four appointments, edited by Simone Ferrari, address some of the most exciting topics concerning him: his writing, failures, frustrations; but also the ingenious inventions, his openness to the Europe, the modern Naturalism, and so on....

LEONARDO AND THE " VISIBILE PARLARE " (BETWEEN WRITING AND IMAGE)
Prof. Carlo Vecce, University of Naples, Italy
For Leonardo, compare word and image is not just a competition between artist and writer. The "comparison" creates a dialogue between languages that travel the modern history till nowadays. Writing is able to recall images, sensations, memories and painting becomes (as Dante said) "visible talk", with direct references (Annunciazione, la Vergine delle rocce, il Musico) to the world of textuality and written word.
